HOW TO SHARE ANY FILE FROM SHAREPOINT TO YOUR CLIENT

  • Sharing files directly from SharePoint, rather than downloading and then sending them, eliminates the risk of cluttering your storage with large and potentially outdated files.

Select + Share

Step 1: Locate the File or Folder
- For TILES view in SharePoint.
- Locate the file or folder you wish to share.

Step 2: Select the File or Folder
- Click/Tap the top right corner of the file or folder tile to reveal the selection icon.
- Click on the selection icon to select the item.

Step 3: Access Sharing Options
- After selecting the file or folder, look for the 3-dot menu icon located at the top left corner of the screen.
- Click on the 3-dot menu to open a dropdown menu.

Step 4: Configure Sharing Settings
- From the dropdown menu, select Share.
- A pop-up will appear. Ensure that the permission setting reads ANYONE CAN VIEW.

Step 5: Share the Link
- Click Copy Link to copy the sharing link to your clipboard.
- You can then text or email this link to your client.

Optional: Direct Email
- Alternatively, enter the client’s email address in the designated field within the pop-up box to send them the link directly.

Troubleshooting:
- If you encounter issues sharing different file types or multiple images, try sharing the enclosing folder instead.

Switch Views

You can easily switch view type as shown in the video below.

Tiles View is optimal for images as it will show the image preview

List view is optimal for viewing and selecting multiple files. (for sharing multiple images, share the entire image folder)
