While Curl Partner is considered safe for color-treated hair, you may experience dulling if a Crystal Gel service was not used before the coloring service. This is because, without removing mineral buildup first, the color can attach to the mineral buildup instead of the hair shaft and be removed when using the packet. To prevent this, be sure to use Crystal Gel before a color treatment to ensure that pigment attaches to the hair shaft itself and not mineral buildup.
