What is clarifying shampoo, and what does it do?
-- Clarifying shampoo is a deeply cleansing hair product that is designed to help remove product buildup, excess oil, and dirt from hair and scalp. This makes it especially effective as a remedy to cleanse the hair and scalp before hair services or for a fresh start at home.
How often should I use Un-Do-Goo® clarifying shampoo?
-- While clarifying shampoo is a useful tool to help keep your hair and scalp happy and healthy, overuse may be damaging. We recommend using clarifying shampoo 1-2 times per month, depending on hair type and lifestyle. Those who use more hair products or have oily hair may need to use clarifying shampoo more often.
Is Un-Do-Goo® clarifying shampoo color-safe?
-- No Un-Do-Goo® clarifying shampoo is not color-safe. While it is not designed for color removal, it does have the potential to remove color. For example, dyes that sit on the surface of the hair or right under the cuticle have greater potential to be washed out than large dye molecules that have formed deep in the cuticle. Un-Do-Goo features a gentle, sulfate-free, multifunctional surfactant technology to help minimize color removal. If you are concerned or just had fresh color applied, consider our Hydrate Color Wellness Shampoo.
Should I use regular shampoo after Un-Do-Goo® clarifying shampoo?
-- It is not necessary to use a regular shampoo after using Un-Do-Goo Shampoo. This is because the pH of the conditioner will balance the pH change caused by Un-Do-Goo.
Does clarifying shampoo help with dry, itchy scalps?
-- Clarifying shampoo may help alleviate dry, itchy scalps in some instances, especially if the issues are caused by product buildup, but it is not specifically designed for this.
